Melvin Ingram

The Buffalo Bills did recently sign former first round pick Shane Ray after his tryout during the rookie minicamp. He probably is the final piece to the defensive end position at this point of the offseason for the Bills however if they want to add another veteran, Melvin Ingram would be an interesting player to add.

Melvin Ingram spent nine seasons with the Chargers after he was drafted 18th overall by them in the 2012 NFL Draft. He would have three Pro Bowl nominations and 49 sacks in 119 games.

The past two seasons he has played for three teams after splitting the 2021 season with the Pittsburgh Steelers and Kansas City Chiefs. He would only have two sacks in total but this past season he turned back the clocks with the Miami Dolphins and registered six sacks.

As a part-time pass rusher last season with Miami, Ingram was very effective as he had those six sacks on only 45% of the defensive snaps. He could be a perfect player to add to the Bills' rotation and give Ingram that last chance to win a Super Bowl.
