Tremaine Edmunds

The next player just left this offseason with Tremaine Edmunds signing a four-year, $72 million contract with the Chicago Bears. He was another player who was a part of that great 2018 NFL Draft class and has been a critical part of the defense over the past five years.

Edmunds would start 74 games during that stretch with 100+ total tackles every season and earn two Pro Bowl nominations in 2019 and 2020.

It is tough to blame the Buffalo Bills for not being able to keep Tremaine Edmunds with the contract he received in free agency. Also, at this point, it remains to be seen just how much the Bills will miss Edmunds (if at all).

The team doesn't have a clear replacement which certainly makes this a bigger question but have some players with potential in Terrel Bernard, who was drafted in the third round last year, and Dorian Williams, who was a third round selection this year.

However, it is tough to replace the experience that Edmunds brought to the position and there will be a period where the production likely gets worse before it gets better.
