The Buffalo Bills have been very successful over the past few year under Sean McDermott and Brandon Beane. One of the reasons for their success has been they have drafted very well with the selection of players like Josh Allen, Dion Dawkins, Tre'Davious White, and Matt Milano.

The challenge when teams draft as well as the Buffalo Bills have is that they see good players leave, either in a trade or as free agents. For the most part, the Bills have been able to keep a number of those players, like the four mentioned previously, with new contracts, but that is not always the case.

When looking at the draft picks made during the Sean McDermott/Brandon Beane regime these are four draft picks that the Buffalo Bills have lost that they probably wish they could have back.

Wyatt Teller

The 2018 NFL Draft likely will be one of the best draft classes ever for the Buffalo Bills as it included Josh Allen, Tremaine Edmunds, Harrison Phillips, Taron Johnson, and offensive guard Wyatt Teller.

The Bills would draft Teller in the fifth round of the 2018 NFL Draft and he would start seven games as a rookie. However, he would move down the depth chart during the 2019 offseason with the team having veterans like Quinton Spain and Jon Feliciano.

With the team trying to cut down the roster to 53 players before the start of the season, Brandon Beane would trade Teller, and a seventh round pick in the 2021 NFL Draft for a 2020 fifth round and sixth round pick.

Since that trade, the Buffalo Bills have seemingly had issues every year at guard while Teller has developed into one of the best at his position with two second-team All-Pro nominations and two Pro Bowl selections. Brandon Beane has not had many big mistakes as general manager of the Buffalo Bills but this probably is by far the worst move and one he wishes he could have back.
