1. Tua Tagovailoa, Dolphins

Week 1 belonged to Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa. The guy went absolutely nuclear on that Los Angeles Chargers defense. Tua and the Dolphins were able to pull off a close victory, by the score of 36-34, thanks largely to the quarterback's big game.

Tua finished 28-of-45 passing, for 466 yards, three touchdowns and one interception. He was not sacked at all throughout this game, despite having to deal with Khalil Mack and Joey Bosa all afternoon.

It sure helps to have weapons like Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle, though. Tua targeted Hill, specifically, 15 times, which ended up going for 11 receptions, 215 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Hill seemingly did whatever he wanted to do, all afternoon long, and it helped fill in the stat sheet for Tua.

That's not to say it was all thanks to Hill, either. Tua threw with accuracy, conviction and anticipation. he had himself a game, and he earned this top spot on the power rankings after one week. In Week 2, it'll be Tua against Mac Jones in a divisional battle and potentially a battle for the top spot, here.
