Buffalo Bills: 53-man roster projections after new QB rule
Offensive Line (9)
Dion Dawkins, Connor McGovern, Mitch Morse, O'Cyrus Torrence, Spencer Brown, David Quessenberry, Ryan Bates, David Edwards, Tommy Doyle
The offensive line is going to be one of the toughest position groups for the Buffalo Bills to cut down this summer. The front office has done an excellent job of adding depth to the position with free agent additions like Connor McGovern and David Edwards and drafting O'Cyrus Torrence and Nick Broeker in the 2023 NFL Draft.
In addition to that, the Bills have players like Ike Boettger and Tommy Doyle returning from injuries and could be in a position to contribute. While it is possible for the Bills to keep 10 players on their 53-man roster, which isn't uncommon, I could see the team valuing more depth on the defensive line and that extra spot going to that side of the ball.
These nine offensive linemen give the Bills versatility and flexibility with a player like Tommy Doyle being that third tight end for running plays. However, Ryan Bates is really the key to this as he can be the backup at center, guard, and potentially even right tackle if necessary. This versatility lets the Bills carry nine offensive linemen and really cover their bases.
