1.) San Francisco 49ers

The NFC champs will fly to western New York to take on the Bills, giving Buffalo a home-field advantage. However, the home field does not matter against the 49ers as they only lost twice this season on the road. San Francisco started 5-0, before dropping three consecutive before their bye to sit at 5-3. Then they would finish the regular season 7-2 down the stretch and earn home-field advantage throughout the playoffs. In their usual and continued dominance, the 49ers were in the top three of scoring offense in the league and allowed the third-fewest points per game.

There is an argument that they have the best roster from top to bottom. They have the key positions figured out at quarterback, wide receiver, and edge rusher. Not to mention, they have the best non-quarterback player in the league in their backfield with Christian McCaffrey. It does help that Buffalo does not have to travel to the Bay Area, but with the way the 49ers are structured, this is their biggest challenge going into 2024.
