Can the Buffalo Bills win in the trenches?

The Buffalo Bills made a number of changes across both their offensive and defensive lines that should help both sides of the ball. On the offensive side of the ball, the Bills are going to have two new starters with Connor McGovern at left guard and rookie O'Cyrus Torrence at right guard, who was just named the starter this week over Ryan Bates.

The New York Jets have an excellent defensive line that is led by defensive tackle Quinnen Williams. He is one of the best at his position and will be a big test early for this new interior offensive line of the Bills.

The Bills are also going to need a big game from their defensive line that will be without their top pass rusher Von Miller, who begins the season on the PUP list. However, the Bills did bring in veteran Leonard Floyd to handle some of the workload but this is a big chance for Greg Rousseau, who could be entering a breakout season in Year 3.

One of the best ways to disrupt an offense is to get consistent pressure on the quarterback and if players like Rousseau, Floyd, and Ed Oliver are able to do that, it will be a big boost for the defense.
