Is Kyle Allen the answer at backup quarterback?

Entering training camp, there was not much suspense on what the depth chart might look like for the Buffalo Bills. They had three quarterbacks on the roster and Josh Allen was the starter with Kyle Allen, who they signed as a free agent this offseason, as a backup with Matt Barkley as the veteran third option.

However, over the course of training camp questions have begun to arise about whether or not Kyle Allen is capable of handling the role if the need were to arise for him to replace Josh Allen.

Near the end of training camp, Sean McDermott was asked about Kyle Allen and didn't seem overly concerned. He noted that he is still trying to learn the offense and reps are going to be the most important thing.

This preseason game against the Indianapolis Colts is going to be very interesting to see how Kyle Allen performs. With Josh Allen not playing in this game, he should get at least two quarters of action and will need to show he can run this offense.
