4.) Terrel Bernard
In one of the few training camp positions, the linebacker spot next to Matt Milano is open with the departure of Tremaine Edmunds in free agency. Arguably the biggest position of need for the Bills, second-year linebacker Terrel Bernard has stepped up and has been impressing teammates as well as coaches. Per Alex Brasky, head coach Sean McDermott gave praise to Bernard for him taking control of the defense.
In the battle between him and Tyrel Dodson, per AJ Feldman, preseason will determine who gets the start and takes the lead on the defense. Bernard was an impressive special teams player last season as a rookie, but he will now have a legit chance to become a starter and be part of a potential rotation on the defense.
Within Bernard’s game, he provides versatility with not just being able to contain the run, but also defend the pass. With a strong training camp, Bernard should be a player that Bills fans kep an eye on the next three weeks of preseason.
