1.) A.J. Epensea - Defensive End

Arguably the number one player who could be in trouble of losing a roster spot overall, Epenesa will have to outshine everyone on the defensive line to stay on the roster. Epenesa was a second round draft pick for the Bills in 2022, expecting to bring that edge rushing ability to get after the quarterback.

That has not been the case in his tenure with the Bills. Having yet to play a full season with the Bills (at some points being a healthy scratch), Epenesa has been down in production more than he should be. Last season, Epenesa had a career-high 6.5 sacks and a career-high 16 tackles. A second round pick is expected to make a big impact and become a starter as time progresses. Epenesa unfortunately has not been a big difference maker for the Bills.

With the acquisitions of Leonard Floyd this offseason, Von Miller coming back from injury (possibly week one but not likely), the growth of Greg Rousseau and Boogie Basham showing a little bit more promise both on the outside and inside of the line, Epenesa will need to breakout in training camp if he wants to stay on the roster.

He is entering a contract year this season and if he wants to get paid by Buffalo or someone else, he will need to earn it.
