4.) Kaiir Elam - Cornerback

Maybe Elam should get some credit as last season was his rookie season. However, being a first round pick just a year ago comes with expectations. Last season, Elam was flashy at times and then he was replaced at times.

There were games last year in which he would be replaced by 2022 sixth-round draft pick Christian Benford and 2020 seventh-round draft pick Dane Jackson. Down the stretch of the 2022 season, Elam was arguably one of the best defenders for the Bills.

At the same time, he also struggled against receivers. I believe that Elam’s starting spot is his to lose in camp, but there is expected to be heavy competition for the number two corner position.

With Tre White back in the lineup, that second corner spot will become important to solidify. Will Elam secure it or see it taken from someone else? If Elam can catch up to speed with the trio duo of White, Micah Hyde and Jordan Poyer, this secondary could be one of if not the strongest units in the league.
