Boogie Basham

Of the five players on this list, Boogie Basham has the best chance to make the 53-man roster. However, the depth at defensive end makes it far from being a guarantee that the former second round pick is with the Buffalo Bills in 2023.

Basham has had an up and down career through the first two years in the NFL and consistency has been an issue for the former Wake Forest pass rusher. Bills' defensive line coach Eric Washington mentioned the improvements in this area a few weeks ago.

This was after he had a game against the Indianapolis Colts where he had three tackles and one sack. He followed that up with three total tackles against the Pittsburgh Steelers which speaks to that consistency.

Since Boogie Basham still has two years left on his rookie contract, it would seem unlikely the Buffalo Bills would cut him. However, the Bills might want to trade him if they believe Shaq Lawson or even Kingsley Jonathan helps the defense more.
