Andy Isabella

One player who has impressed over the past month has been Andy Isabella, who was a second round pick by the Arizona Cardinals in 2019. He was signed at the end of July after the Bills lost Nyheim Hines for the season due to a knee injury.

Isabella is a smaller wide receiver but has excellent speed and gives the offense a playmaker who excels in yards after the catch, which is something that has been missing from this offense the past few years. That was on display in the first preseason game where he took a quick route for 30 yards.

Andy Isabella has certainly shown enough to warrant a spot on the 53-man roster but the Bills have typically only had six wide receivers on their regular season roster. Those spots seem pretty much locked up with fifth round draft pick Justin Shorter in that final spot on the depth chart.

Does Andy Isabella show enough to force the Buffalo Bills to keep seven wide receivers or can he pass the rookie for that final spot? It will be worth watching this battle against the Chicago Bears.
