1.) James Cook - Running Back

Is it time to let James “cook” in 2023? All signs point for Cook to take a step forward this season and take more of an active role in the offense. With Devin Singletary out of town and Harris on a one-year deal, Cook will have the opportunity to become the lead back and take advantage of the runs, or passes out of the backfield.

As the 2022 season progressed, Cook was featured more and more but 2023 should allow Cook to see the field more. On 89 carries last season, Cook rushed for over 500 yards and two touchdowns

Will he have over 1,000 yards rushing or double digit rushing touchdowns? That might be a stretch, but don’t rule out the possibility of taking the running work load off of Allen. Seeing that Cook is in a committee with Damien Harris and Latavius Murray as of now, the carries might be split.

The good news for Cook is that he is younger and was drafted by this management. Bills fans know that Brandon Beane and Sean McDermott love to utilize “their guys” that they drafted. Out of everyone on this list, Cook has the best chance to break out for the Buffalo Bills this season.
