2.) Don’t lose the turnover battle
When you go up against a coach like Bill Belichick, he has proven to not only take away an opposing team’s biggest threat, but also finds a way to take the ball away and win the turnover battle. However, the Patriots do have a -8 turnover differential this season (3 takeaways on defense and 11 turnovers on the offense).
The Bills are at the top of the league in takeaways with 13 total and 9 turnovers on offense. Last week against the Giants was the first game this season where the Bills were not able to force a turnover.
Even if the Bills are not able to take the ball away from New England’s offense, it is more crucial to not commit any turnovers to the Patriots’ defense. The offense for New England is very limited so it might be better for the Bills to focus more on protecting the ball rather than trying to play takeaway from Mac Jones and the offense.
