4.) Poona Ford

The first two weeks of the season, Poona Ford had seen an increase in playing time (19% of snaps to 33% of snaps) as a rotational player. However, the last three weeks, Ford has been a healthy scratch but that doesn’t seem like that will be the case anymore due to the injury of DaQaun Jones.

Ford should likely step into the role that Jones played as a guy who can take on the double teams upfront and take away a blocker for the offense. Not just him, but also Jordan Phillps as well.

If Giants’ running back Saquon Barkley does play this week against the Bills, Ford could play a crucial role in stopping the run. Buffalo has given up 100+ rushing yards in 3 out of 5 games and now they lose a key contributor in Jones who was a true run-stopper.

The Bills may want to go out on the free agent market and get some depth for upfront, but they should give the opportunity to Ford to step up and replace the missing presence of Jones.
