5.) Terrel Bernard

Heading into this season, there were major questions as to how Terrel Bernard would fill the shoes of Tremaine Edmunds. However, he has impressed through five weeks and showed the Bills coaching staff that he was the right player to be the leader in the middle of the defense. He once again led the team in total tackles against Jacksonville (16 total which is a career high for him).

There is no reason to be worried about him as a player heading into Week 6, but with the loss of Matt Milano, Bernard will now officially be looked at as a difference maker of the defense that will need to step up even more than he has.

Depending on what the Bills do at the outside linebacker spot that will replace Milano, Bernard will have to likely play even more of a sideline-to-sideline type of game and may need to step up as the speedy linebacker that can get to the sideline to stop the run or catch the flat route.
