5. Buffalo Bills def. Los Angeles Rams (Week 1 — 2022)

A regular season game during a disappointing season, hear me out.

Despite having insurmountable expectations entering the 2022 NFL season, and still reeling from a devastating playoff loss to the Kansas City Chiefs, the Bills thrashed the defending Super Bowl champion Rams 31–10 in the league's opening kickoff game at Sofi Stadium in Los Angeles, California.

And there was a highlight-reel touchdown from Bills wide receiver Stefon Diggs against former Rams cornerback Jalen Ramsey? Count me in.

In hindsight this game seems meaningless, but for a few weeks, there's never been a more exciting time to be a 21st century Bills fan — and I'll expand on this later on.

The Bills entered the 2022 season as Super Bowl favorites. After signing future hall-of-fame pass rusher Von Miller, and watching wide receiver Gabriel Davis break out for five touchdowns during the 2021-22 playoffs, the Bills seemingly had the league's best roster and they proved that against the Rams before their season eventually unfolded after week eight.
