2.) Stefon Diggs gets double digit targets
In four out of six games this season, Diggs has been targeted 11 times or more (his season high being 16 last week against the Giants). Even though he is the number one option in the offense, there are limitations to what the offense can do if Diggs is the only one getting the double digit targets. However, there is no reason as to why this should not continue against the Patriots. In his career against New England, Diggs has been targeted double digit times in 3 games and 9 times in 2 games.
He will more than likely line up against cornerback JC Jackson, who was recently traded back to the Patriots from the Los Angeles Chargers and Diggs has had the best of Jackson in their matchups.
While Diggs getting a majority of the targets each game can be concerning about the flow of the offense, he has yet to show why he doesn’t deserve to be the first playmaker on the outside to get momentum going for Buffalo.
