3.) Buffalo offense records 30+ first downs

With the New England defense still competing at an elite level, the Bills may not have many big plays go their way so they may have to play the short field game. This means quick dump-off passes and bringing in a Leonard Fournette or Latavius Murray type of back on third and short to move the chains.

The most first downs that the Bills have gained in a game this season took place in Weeks 2 and 12 with 29 first downs, meaning that this is not out of the ballpark. Belichick’s defense usually does not give up big plays, so Joe Brady will have to coordinate an offensive scheme to beat Belichick with a not-so-complexed game plan.

The Bills’ offense has had 11 games where they recorded 20+ first downs on offense, with 4 of those games finishing with 25+ first downs. Control the clock and make Zappe win from behind will be the key to keeping momentum on the Bills’ side
