3. Buffalo Bills defense leads the NFL in interceptions

While there is hardly an excuse for the Buffalo Bills defensive struggles down the stretch, few teams have suffered the same level of injuries to their secondary as the Bills have. Between Tre'Davious White, Jordan Poyer, and Micah Hyde, the Bills All-Pro defensive backs have missed a combined 38 games to injury over the past two seasons, including four playoff games.

In spite of their injury history, all three players have recorded 14 or more interceptions since the 2017 season, including 22 from Poyer which ranks tied for sixth-best in the league during that span. If the Buffalo Bills' elite secondary trio can stay healthy, and second-year cornerback Kaiir Elam can break out, who's to say the Bills' defense can't lead the league in takeaways this season?

When you consider that Buffalo's defense ranks second in takeaways during the past six seasons, it's hardly a bold prediction, but after last year's defensive struggles and injuries in the grandest of stages, this Bills defense has almost become underrated — or at least their secondary has.
