3.) Will A.J. Epenesa continue to shine?
It took until the final year of his rookie contract, but defensive end A.J. Epenesa has been playing like one of the top defenders on this Buffalo defense. Last year, Epenesa had a career high in sacks with 6.5. Currently, he has 4 on the season through the first six weeks and has rushed the quarterback 6 times. Epenesa has had the opportunities with the injuries that have occurred over time with both Leonard Floyd and Gregory Rousseau.
It is more than likely that Epenesa is not back in Buffalo after this season, so he could very well exceed expectations to earn himself a contract somewhere else. If Epenesa is able to keep up his production leading up to the trade deadline, and if the Bills do not play on re-signing him, the front office should consider trading him to get some value back, otherwise it will be labeled as a waste of a second round pick back in 2020.
