Edge

Buffalo's edge rusher position boasts depth, but the absence of Von Miller for at least the first four games of the season necessitates someone else stepping up to disrupt opposing quarterbacks.  Greg Rousseau, slated as the starter, possesses considerable talent and must consistently deliver during Miller's absence.

The Bills signed Leonard Floyd to help its defensive front. He spent the past three seasons with the Los Angeles Rams and helped the Rams win Super Bowl LVI. He is projected to start opposite Rousseau, and his veteran presence is welcomed in the absence of Miller.

Behind Rousseau and Floyd are A.J. Epenesa and Shaq Lawson. Epenesa has flashed, but after being Buffalo's first pick in 2020, he has yet to live up to expectations. Shaq Lawson has been stout in the run game, setting the edge, but the Bills will need to create pressure on opposing quarterbacks to remain one of the top units in the league.

Although the Bills have depth at its edge position, they will only have a blue chip once Von Miller returns, which poses concern.

The Bills are built to win. Many of their positions are manned by Pro Bowlers and All-Pro caliber talent. However, questions surrounding the positions listed here are cause for concern heading into the regular season.
