The Buffalo Bills had their first week of OTAs this week with practice on Tuesday and Thursday and this is a big checkpoint in the offseason. These workouts are voluntary but it gives the coaching staff and players the first real chance to get ready for the upcoming season in organized practices.

While the team had two practices this week, the media only had availability on Tuesday but got a chance to watch practice as well as speak to some players and coaches. These were some of the players from that first practice that stood out to the people in attendance.

Ja'Marcus Ingram

The depth chart at cornerback seems to be pretty well set entering this season with players like Tre'Davious White, Taron Johnson, Kaiir Elam, Christian Benford and Dane Jackson locked in on the 53-man roster. The sixth spot should be Siran Neal, due to his play on special teams, but he could be pushed by a player like Cam Lewis.

Another player that could find himself in the discussion by the end of the summer is Ja'Marcus Ingram. He was an undrafted free agent signing last offseason out of the University of Buffalo and spent the majority of the season on the practice squad.

After the first OTA, Von Miller was asked about which players stood out to him and he mentioned fifth round draft pick Justin Shorter but also spoke highly of Ja'Marcus Ingram. He said after the practice, Miller said to Ingram that he had a good day however Ingram disagreed with the observation.

Ja'Marcus Ingram has an uphill battle to make the 53-man roster but if he continues to impress, he will have a real chance by the time the Bills need to trim the roster.
