Buffalo Bills receiver - Sammy Watkins (2014 - 2016)
Sammy Watkins was the first of the many talented receivers in the 2014 NFL draft, and he was a pick that many Bills fans remember. There was no question that Watkins had superstar talent, and he showcased that in his first two seasons in the league. However, Watkins's frustration was his inability to stay on the field. From 2016-2023, he played in less than 52% of his games (67 out of 129).
Watkins' only 1,000-yard season came in 2015, and afterward, he was traded around the league from Buffalo to the Rams, to the Chiefs, to the Packers, and was recently released by the Ravens. It's sad to see such a talented player like Watkins flop in the NFL, but injuries tend to be a part of the game, and players have to take care of their bodies whenever given the opportunity. Watkins should have done so but did make an impact with Buffalo during his tenure there.
