DaQuan Jones

Another older veteran entering the final year of his contract is defensive tackle DaQuan Jones. He joined the Bills last offseason as a free agent on a two-year contract and was excellent last year in this defense.

He would finish the season with 38 total tackles, two sacks, and 11 QB hits but his impact goes well beyond the stat line. Jones role as the one-tech defensive tackle means he is responsible for clogging the running lanes and allowing the linebackers and secondary clear paths to the ball carrier.

He was even named the most underrated player on the Buffalo Bills by Pro Football Focus and had the 17th best grade in the NFL among interior defensive linemen.

Now with Ed Oliver's extension, the Bills have at least one defensive tackle under contract for the 2024 season. However, working out a one-year extension, similar to Micah Hyde, could be a great fit for the defense but also DaQuan Jones, who supported the idea of an extension earlier this offseason.
