2.) A.J. Epenesa
Last week against the Washington Commanders, A.J. Epenesa put himself on the Bills’ radar as a player who stepped up to make a big play. On a drop back pass in which Sam Howell scrambled left, he threw it right into the hands of Epenesa who returned it 32 yards for a pick-six to put the Bills up big against Washington.
Aside from that, Epenesa has yet to make a serious impact on the defense. With this being the potential last week without Von Miller, this could be the last week that Epenesa could get close to 50% of the defensive snaps. From Week 1 to this week, his percentage has increased regarding how many defensive snaps he is on the field for.
With having only two tackles and a sack, Epenesa will be part of the rotation that will look to pressure Tua Tagovailoa. Whether he goes up against Terron Armstead or Austin Jackson, Epenesa needs to create a play directly or indirectly to help slow down the Dolphins’ offense.
