1.) Jordan Poyer

One of the best decisions that the Bills made in the offseason was bringing the All-Pro safety back to Buffalo and getting him on the field with Micah Hyde and Tre’Davious White again. Heading into this week’s game, it has been reported per Sal Capaccio that Hyde is listed as day-to-day from a hamstring injury he suffered against the Raiders. With the uncertainty of whether or not Hyde will indeed play, this could leave Poyer as the main leader of the secondary and play out of position at times.

The Commanders have weapons like Jahan Dotson and Terry McLaurin, who could cause trouble for the Buffalo secondary if there is a misstep or miscommunication. This is where Poyer will play a pivotal role in providing the centerfield coverage to help out the corners. In addition, the Commanders were able to run the ball well with Brian Robinson Jr. last week so Poyer will be able to assist in run defense if Robinson gets past the first level.
