Linval Joseph joined the Buffalo Bills roster on November 2nd, 2023. He was brought on to add depth to a defensive line that lost DaQuan Jones. At 35 years old, the question heading into a possible second season with the Bills is, does he have anything left in the tank? This is a question that not only the Bills need to answer but Joseph as well. Does he want to come back and play another season?

Joseph played only 161 snaps with eight tackles, four stops, a sack, and six total pressures. According to Spotrac.com, Joseph made over $1.6 million last season but I don't believe the Bills will offer him a new deal and bring him back for the 2024 NFL season. Despite the numerous defensive players that are pending free agents for the Bills. They will likely move on from Joseph. I don't think they are willing to spend the money on a 35-year-old defensive tackle and will likely opt for the draft to restock the interior defensive line.

Joseph earned a Pro Football Focus grade of 31 on run defense, and 53.2 on pass rush, with an overall grade of 38.8. Those grades, the actual production on the field, and the age are all three reasons I don't expect the Buffalo Bills to re-sign Joseph. If they think he can still play, perhaps they try to bring him back on a vet minimum deal, with incentives but even that, I don't see happening. I think Joseph has played his last game in a Bills uniform.
