Buffalo Bills Week 1 Grades: Plenty of failing grades against the Jets

The special teams is a tough group to grade because on the one hand, Tyler Bass was perfect with three field goals made, including a 50-yard attempt that would tie the game in the closing seconds, and one extra point.

However, it appears Sam Martin made a critical mistake in overtime on his punt that was returned for a touchdown and secured the win for the Jets. Jay Feely noted that the punt should have gone to the right based on where the coverage was running but he kicked it left which resulted in the coverage team being out of place.

There is no question that the Buffalo Bills have plenty to work on in all three phases of the game before their next game on Sunday against the Las Vegas Raiders.
