Defensive Line

The defensive line did one thing very well and one thing not so well as their pass rush was excellent but the run defense struggled.

The Bills were getting consistent pressure on the Jets' quarterbacks and while they only had three sacks, Zach Wilson was scrambling almost the entire night as the Bills got eight QB hits. Leonard Floyd was the star of this group with 1.5 sacks and two QB hits.

However, the run defense continues to be a problem for the Buffalo Bills. The Bills brought in Poona Ford in the offseason and he was expected to be a big part of the defense but he played only 10 snaps and it was more of the same from the line.

The Jets averaged 6.1 yards per rush attempt with Breece Hall having an excellent game with 127 rushing yards on 10 carries. This is something they need to fix quickly with Josh Jacobs and the Raiders on the schedule next.
