Bold Prediction Number 3: Tua Tagovailoa will play the entire season
Last season, we saw Tua Tagovailoa's career flash before the world's eyes. With a pair of nasty concussions and some very scary immediate aftermath, some wondered whether or not he should hang up his cleats. But here we are, going into the grueling summer practices, and Tua is looking just fine. He plans to play.
Is it safe to say the Miami Dolphins learned their lesson last year? Let's sure hope so, not just for Dolphins fans, but for the sake of Tua's livelihood and future health; his family, loved ones and friends. His case was one of the more notable, scarier situations we've seen in quite some time. It was brutal and frightening to watch him go down both times, regardless of the team he plays for.
This season, the Dolphins will focus in on protecting Tua and helping him protect himself. Whether it be different protection schemes up front, or nuances that Tua will have to get better at himself, protecting the quarterback should be priority number one, and it will be.
For the sake of competition and the sake of Tua's health, he will play in all 17 games in 2023, giving the AFC East a healthy dose of a full-powered Miami offense all year long.
