The Buffalo Bills had a weird year in 2023. At one point, the Bills were 6-6 on the year and trailing by multiple games for the AFC East crown. They went on a magical run to close out the season, winning five straight games and ultimately ripping the AFC East title from the Dolphins.

Unfortunately, the Bills flamed out in the postseason once again, dropping a heartbreaker to the Chiefs in the divisional round. The Bills even got the Chiefs in Buffalo this time but it still didn't make a difference.

The offseason then saw the Bills part ways with big names such as Stefon Diggs, Tre'Davious White, Jordan Poyer, and Mitch Morse and this led to the talking heads coming to the conclusion that the Bills were washed. Never mind that Buffalo still has Josh Allen quarterbacking the offense, this team is apparently done-zo.

Well, offensive guard Dion Dawkins prefers it this way. The former second-round pick out of Temple appeared on The Insiders and said that he's glad people are counting his team out.

"We could fly underneath that radar, and hit everybody with uppercuts."

It makes sense why people are trying to write the Bills off. They did lose a lot of good players in the offseason and the AFC East isn't the same division it was when Tom Brady lurked in the division. The Dolphins came close to winning it a season ago and if the Jets get back a fully healthy Aaron Rodgers, they'll be a force to be reckoned with for sure.

That being said, until another AFC East team can dethrone the Bills from the top of the division, why are we counting them out? As long as Josh Allen is still playing his best ball, the Buffalo Bills are not only a playoff contender but a Super Bowl contender.
