Bills fans will love who the Patriots are planning to trot out at QB
It's been pretty sweet seeing the New England Patriots fall from grace after sitting atop not only the AFC East but the NFL for two decades. As soon as Tom Brady departed the Patriots and the AFC East, it was officially time for the Buffalo Bills to take over as the kings of the division and that's precisely what's gone down.
The Bills have run away with the division, winning four straight AFC East titles and hoping to make it five in a row this year. While the Bills winning the AFC East for a fifth straight time isn't a guarantee, one thing appears to be certain and that's that the Patriots won't be winning it.
According to first-year Patriots head coach Jerod Mayo, the most "pro-ready" guy the Pats have is Jacoby Brissett. This sounds as though the Patriots are going to roll with Brissett as their starting quarterback and Bills fans have to be loving the idea of that.
Bills fans continue to laugh at Patriots being in QB purgatory
Considering the Patriots had arguably the greatest quarterback of all time running the show for them for 20 years, it's hard to feel bad for them now that they're in quarterback purgatory. The Bills lived in quarterback purgatory for years and now are fortunate to have Josh Allen running the offense. It's great to see the roles have been swapped and the Patriots are struggling and sitting in the basement of the division.
Brissett isn't awful but if he's who the Patriots are going to trot out to run the offense this year, that's one less team for Buffalo to have to worry about in the AFC East this year. Let's hope that the Patriots continue to be basement dwellers while the Bills continue to be the kings of the division because this role reversal has been quite enjoyable.
