Bills can win the AFC East and ruin the Jets' season with one single phone call
Call it a hunch, but this feels like a big week for the Bills.
Things were going great. They were 3-0, Josh Allen looked like he was running away with this year's MVP award, and the Bills were playing like a group that finally figured out what kind of team they wanted to be.

Then they went into Baltimore and threw away every single good vibe they had accumulated through the first three weeks. Now, even at 3-1, there's a lot more attention on the Bills' flaws β that'll happen when you lose by four scores on Sunday Night Football. Now the Bills' grip on the AFC East feels slightly less secure, although I'm not sure how serious of a threat any of the other teams actually are. The Jets seem like the only team capable of turning it around quick enough to give the Bills a run for their money, which is actually great news for the Bills. How?! I'm so glad you asked!
Perfect division-winning, Aaron Rodgers-trolling trade just fell in the Bills' lap
The Bills could use some help on offense. Currently, they rank 20th in passing yards and 29th in passing attempts; Khalil Shakir leads all Bills receivers with 230 yards all year. Keon Coleman hasn't had the most inspiring start, and the Bills aren't in the business of wasting any more years of Allen's prime. But the great news for them is that, with one simple phone call, the Bills can both run away with the AFC East, and ruin the Jets' dreams at the same time. All it takes is trading for Davante Adams. It really is that simple!
After a morning full of escalating rumors, it's official: Adams has requested a trade from the Raiders. NFL's Ian Rapoport tweeted out the news earlier this afternoon.
Almost immediately, everyone's sending him to the Jets. He and Aaron Rodgers go way back, the Jets aren't exactly putting up huge passing numbers right now, Garrett Wilson's been one of the worst wide receivers in football this year, etc. It's annoying, but it makes sense. HOWEVER. What if the Bills called up Las Vegas? Would Adams be interested in playing for the best AFC East QB on a team that actually has title aspirations and isn't just a giant circus? How different can Buffalo and New York City actually be?
The money situation makes this tricky, but who cares? It's just money. The Bills would probably have to swallow a couple years of a bloated contract in order to pull this off, but is there a price you can put on winning the division and angering Aaron Rodgers in the process? If there is, it's definitely worth more than $89 million. Do it and be legends forever.
