What could have been for the Buffalo Bills from 2017-2019

2017: A renewed focus to building a culture and a clear plan is laid out when the Bills hire Sean McDermott as head coach and Brandon Beane as GM. First order of business is drafting a QB and the Bills don’t wait. The Bills take a flyer on a kid from Texas Tech named Patrick Mahomes in the 2017 NFL Draft. Mahomes sits his rookie season and the Bills miss the playoffs. Brian Daboll is brought in as offensive coordinator and the Bills take off.

2018: The Buffalo Bills roll through the season. The Bills roll all the way to the AFC Divisional Round game but lose a nail-biter to the 1 seed, Tom Brady and the New England Patriots. There are many positives to take away from this season. Which proves invaluable next season.

2019: Hell hath no fury like Patrick Mahomes scorned. The Bills rock a 12-4 season and the 2 seed in the playoffs. The Bills come off a bye week and into a matchup with New England in Orchard Park. The home cooking is exactly what Buffalo needs and they vanquish Tom Brady in his final game as a Patriot. The AFC Championship game Mahomes outduels a soon to be MVP, Lamar Jackson. Then off to the Super Bowl against Josh Allen and the San Francisco 49ers. Patrick Mahomes, down by 6, leads a stellar 2-minute drive to outduel his counterpart for the Bills first Super Bowl title since 2007!
