Bruce Smith (1985 – 1999)

Bruce Smith was the first overall selection in the 1985 NFL Draft and spent 15 seasons with the Buffalo Bills.  He became one of the most feared defensive players in the NFL and is widely considered one of the best to have ever played the game.

Bills fans will forever love and adore him and what he brought to the Bills through all those years of dominance.  Maybe someday, a new edge defender will bring that same level of heart and determination, but his 200 career sacks will never be touched by anyone now or in the future.

Fred Jackson (2007 – 2014)

Fred Jackson garnered the third most votes of Bills’ running backs, so while he may not have made the list of the greatest back in Bills history, there is no question he is one of Bills fans' all-time favorite players.  His story to the NFL is one of legends and inspirations, going undrafted from the tiny Division III school, Coe College to the Bills' third all-time leading rusher.

Jackson graduated from Coe College in 2003 but would not be invited to try out for the Bills until 2006.  It was another Coe College alum, former Buffalo Bills head coach Marv Levy who sent that invite to Jackson and the rest is history.
