2) Aaron Rodgers

The margin between Aaron Rodgers and Josh Allen is probably a coin flip entering the 2023 season. There are plenty of reasons to make either quarterback the top passer in the AFC East but Rodgers has just a few more questions than Allen.

Entering last season, Aaron Rodgers was coming off back-to-back MVP seasons and was definitely in the discussion for the best quarterback in the NFL. However, the stats took a notable dip in 2023 and he would throw for the fewest passing yards (3,695) in his career in a season where he played 15 or more games, second lowest passing touchdowns total (26), and second highest interceptions total (12).

Rodgers would get a change of scenery this offseason after he was traded to the New York Jets and is re-joining his former offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett. He would have his MVP seasons with Hackett calling the plays and has an excellent group of wide receivers that sets him up to have a bounce back season.

However, he also will be 40 years old by the end of the 2023 season and last season could have been a sign of things to come as Rodgers gets towards the end of his career. These lingering questions are enough to keep him at number two.
