AFC East cornerback rooms ranked from worst to best in 2023

1. Buffalo Bills

Tre'Davious White, Taron Johnson, Dane Jackson, Kaiir Elam, Christian Benford

The best cornerback room in the AFC East has to be the Buffalo Bills because they not only have that top cornerback in Tre'Davious White but have the depth that is unmatched within the division. The key to this group though is Tre'Davious White and the hope is that he can return to an All-Pro form after suffering a torn ACL during the 2021 season.

The second best cornerback on the roster is actually their nickel corner in Taron Johnson. While some nickel cornerbacks may not play consistently, the Bills line up almost exclusively in a nickel formation and Johnson is essentially a starter. The defense doesn't work without Johnson who is able to do a little bit of everything from pass coverage, a solid tackler but also an effective rusher off the edge.

The other cornerback spot is still up for grabs but the Bills have three good options in Dane Jackson, Kaiir Elam, and Christian Benford. It would appear that Jackson is the leader right now but Kaiir Elam and Christian Benford are going to be key parts of this position and the talent they have as backups is what helps push them to the top of the division in these rankings.
