Jeremy Chinn

Jeremy Chinn has had an interesting career to this point in the NFL. He was a second round pick by the Carolina Panthers in the 2020 NFL Draft and made an immediate impact as he started 15 games and finished second in the voting for Defensive Rookie of the Year.

However, with coaching changes in Carolina his role steadily decreased to the point he was almost a non-factor last year. He played in only eight games and played less than 40% of the defensive snaps.

It is not ideal for a player entering free agency to have his role diminish that much but it could be good news for the Buffalo Bills if they can sign him to a prove-it type deal. He is a perfect fit for Sean McDermott's defense as he could be a safety to pair with Kamren Curl or the team could look to move him to linebacker with his size at 6'3" and 220 pounds.

The Bills should give him a chance to win the starting job next to Curl, if they release Jordan Poyer, but if not he could be a great option as that third linebacker and replace Tyrel Dodson.
