Javon Solomon vs. Casey Toohill

The Buffalo Bills brought in a number of defensive ends this offseason but the top of the depth chart is pretty well set at the top with Greg Rousseau, A.J. Epenesa, and Von Miller. However, one area where they could use some help is pass rush specialist or players who come onto the field in key passing downs and the main focus is to just get to the passer.

In that scenario, teams are looking for smaller but quicker defensive ends and the Bills have two of those in Casey Toohill and fifth-round draft pick Javon Solomon. Toohill had a career year for the Commanders last year with five sacks and seven QB hits and is still learning the position after being a linebacker for most of his college career.

Meanwhile, Solomon is an experienced pass rusher who has over 30 sacks over the past three seasons while at Troy. He certainly knows how to get to the quarterback but it will be interesting to see how he handles the bigger and quicker offensive tackles of the NFL.

Both players should make the 53-man roster this year but this depth chart battle will decide which players are active on game day and who is a healthy scratch.
