Kaiir Elam

The situation at the second cornerback position isn't as dire but the outcome is not what fans were hoping for. The hope was that last year's first round pick Kaiir Elam would emerge as the starter entering the second season in the NFL.

However, it looks like he has regressed this summer and for the second straight week is called for a defensive pass interference. This time was in the end zone that put the Steelers at the one-yard line. He would be targeted again and give up the touchdown on a pretty good throw by Mitchell Trubisky.

With Tre'Davious White back, the Buffalo Bills are looking for a player who can be steady and not make too many costly mistakes. It seems like a pretty low bar but it is one that Dane Jackson has done a much better job at this preseason.

In the game against the Steelers, he gave up a reception to George Pickens but came back later in the drive to have a good pass breakup. At this point, the discussion isn't whether or not Kaiir Elam is the starter but is he even higher than Christian Benford on the depth chart? I am not so sure that is the case.
