Sam Martin
It is not always that a punter has a notable performance but it is hard to look past what Sam Martin was able to do in this game against the Bucs. He had four punts for an average of 45 yards but more importantly, three of those were downed inside the 10 yard line. The fourth punt had a good chance as well but it bounced right over the head and out of reach of the Buffalo Bills player.
While there is some debate about whether or not the Buffalo Bills should be punting on 4th and short from midfield, Sam Martin didn't make the decision any worse by having his kicks go into the end zone for a touchback. The Bucs for most of the second half were playing in the shadow of their goal post which was an advantage for the Buffalo Bills defense.
The Buffalo Bills over the past few years have ranked near the bottom of the league in terms of punts but it is certainly great to see when they need to punt they have a player like Sam Martin that can control the kicks and keep the opposing team deep in their end of the field.
