Ed Oliver

Ed Oliver missed the game against the New England Patriots due to injury and the defense clearly missed his presence in the middle of the field. The former Top 10 pick has been playing excellent football this season after signing that long-term deal and picked right back up to playing at that level on Thursday night.

He finished the game with two total tackles but had a key sack in the closing minutes of the first half that pushed the Bucs back and eventually out of field goal range.

This season, the Bucs have done a good job protecting Baker Mayfield but the Buffalo Bills pass rush was able to get to him in this game. That played a big role in helping the secondary limit the impact of players like Mike Evans and Chris Godwin and slow down the Bucs' pass game. That pressure seemed to start this week up the middle with Ed Oliver.
