Defensive Tackle

The Buffalo Bills were able to get part of their long-term solution at defensive tackle this offseason by extending Ed Oliver. However, depth is crucial to defensive tackle and Oliver is the only defensive tackle under contract past this season.

Entering this season the defensive tackle position is one of the strongest on the roster because it includes DaQuan Jones, Poona Ford, Jordan Phillips, and Tim Settle. It wouldn't be surprising to see the Bills bring back a few of these players after the 2023 season but it is unlikely they bring back all.

In addition, DaQuan Jones and Jordan Phillips are not necessarily long-term answers as they get towards the end of their careers. The Bills could look to add a younger defensive tackle, likely a one-tech, that can play alongside Oliver and clog running lanes.
