Christian Benford

Rasul Douglas has seen most of the attention after the Patriots game, and really over the past month. He certainly deserves it as he had two interceptions against the Patriots, including returning one for a touchdown.

Since joining the Bills in eight games he has had four interceptions and two fumble recoveries. However, Christian Benford has also been playing very well and been a key part of the secondary.

In the game against the Patriots, Benford had four total tackles with a forced fumble and fumble recovery that occured on the same play. The second-year cornerback was able to wrestle the ball away from Pharaoh Brown on what would be the first completed pass by Bailey Zappe.

This is nothing new for Christian Benford as he has been somewhat of an afterthought since joining the Bills. The year the Bills drafted Benford in the sixth round, they drafted Kaiir Elam earlier with their first round pick. He has not only outplayed Elam but earned the starting job during training camp opposite Tre'Davious White.

The Bills are going to need more of the same from both Douglas but also Christian Benford against the Miami Dolphins.
