5.) 2022 Draft - Wide Receiver, Christian Watson

It’s been only one year removed from the 2022 NFL draft, so there is still time to get Kaiir Elam a chance to make an impact for the defense. Although, wide receiver Christian Watson was projected as a low first-round, high second-round pick in which he was drafted number 34 overall by the Green Bay Packers. The Bills did not pick a receiver until the fifth round where they drafted Khalil Shakir.

While Elam has had flashes of potential to play opposite of Tre’Davious White, Watson made strides to be a dangerous receiver in the second half of the season. In a powerless Packers offense, Watson was able to snag 41 catches for 611 yards and 7 touchdowns. He also was able to gain just over 9 yards on each reception.

With the uncertainty of Gabriel Davis’ future with the Bills heading into a contract year, the Bills could have had Watson who would be paired up with Stefon Diggs and it would be an easy transition to move off of Davis if he does not receive an extension from the Bills.
