Yannick Ngakoue

The Buffalo Bills have addressed defensive end this offseason by re-signing A.J. Epenesa and then bringing in free agent Casey Toohill. However, they can never have too much depth at the position and the likely option would be to bring back Shaq Lawson.

If they want to look to add something new to the position then Yannick Ngakoue could be a good option for the Bills. The Jaguars' former third round pick was one of the most productive pass rushers in his first four seasons in the league with 37.5 sacks during that stretch.

Ngakoue looked to be on his way to being in the discussion of an elite pass rusher but since the 2019 season, he has not been able to stick with a team. In fact, over the past four seasons he has played for five different teams.

The reason for his inability to stay with a team past one season is a bit unknown but when he is on the field, he continues to produce with an average of just under eight sacks per season. If the Bills can add a player who can contribute 8-10 sacks in 2024 at this point of free agency, they should consider it.
