5 Recent Buffalo Bills additions already on the chopping block in 2024
Dee Delany - Cornerback
Dee Delany came into the league as an undrafted rookie free agent with the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2018. He spent his rookie year on their practice squad and bounced around the league between the Jaguars, Dolphins, Jets, and finally with Washington, where he remained for the 2019 season. In 2020, he was signed by the Tampa Bay Bucs, and had his best season last year, logging nearly 450 snaps. He had a career-high two interceptions and five passes defensed.
The Bills have good depth already at the position in starters Rasul Douglas and Christian Benford, with Taron Johnson in the nickel. According to multiple OTA and minicamp reports, Kaiir Elam has been impressive. The former first-round pick might finally be realizing his potential. After him, Buffalo has reserve corner Ja'Marcus Ingram, who's been around the team for a while now. Defensive back Cam Lewis is one of those versatile, play-anywhere, type players that McDermott loves. I don't see a spot on the roster for Delany, but he could also find his way to the practice squad.
