Buffalo Bills may not have drafted Dawson Kincaid

The last point may not be impacted as much but it is certainly worth mentioning as the Bills not only used a first round pick on the position, but traded up in the first round to select Dalton Kincaid.

While the Bills would be unlikely to extend Dawson Knox before the 2022 season, there is a potential that they could re-sign him after this past season as the number two tight end in this offense.

If they were to do that, then they would not draft Dalton Kincaid and the Buffalo Bills would not have the potential versatility they presently do. Kincaid is a dynamic player that can be moved around and can be a big slot receiver for this offense while also forcing defenses to defend a two-tight end set.

While the Buffalo Bills at the time looked like they needed Zach Ertz, and he certainly could have helped in the short-term, the fact that the Bills didn’t make the trade has probably worked out better for them at this moment in time.
